HOW TO START A NEIGHBORHOOD EVANGELISM TEAM (N.E.T.)
Matthew 4:19, "And He (Jesus) said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’"
Fish don't usually just jump onto the shore and say, "Here I am.“ You have to go where they are and draw them out. If you want to catch one fish at a time you can use a fishing pole, but if you want to catch a lot of fish you need to use a net. It is the same way with people and evangelism. Most of the time people will not just run up to your church and say, "I want to be saved." If you want to reach the lost you need to go where they are and draw them out. The most effective way of doing this is by using a N.E.T. (A Neighborhood Evangelism Team).
What is a N.E.T. Team? A N.E.T. Team is a group of people who go out together and do street evangelism on a regular basis. They might go out once a week, once a month, or whatever works for your church.
What do you need to start a N.E.T. Team? You will need at least one committed person to be the leader of the team. You will also need tracts, follow-up cards and some material to hand out to people that receive the Lord (church brochures, Christian pamphlets, etc…we can supply you with what you need).
If you are interested in launching a Neighborhood Evangelism Team (N.E.T.) in your church, Wayne and Laura can help you get started! They will come and supply all the materials needed to train your congregation in the area of evangelism, and then take them out on the streets. This type of hands on training is most effective and will ignite a passion for souls. For more information call us or email us today. |
