Know Your Destiny?

We all want to know where we are going in life. We want to know what job we will have, who we will marry, where we will live, and so on. But more importantly than knowing where we are going in life, we need to know where we are going when we die. Just stop a minute and seriously ask yourself, “Where am I going when I die?”

John 3:13 says, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

When we die one of two things happens, we either live eternally separated from God in hell or we have everlasting life with Jesus in heaven. God loves you so much that He made a way for you to escape the torment of hell and live forever with Him. In the above scripture we already read that all we have to do is believe in Jesus.

Romans 10:9 says, “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

That means all you have to do is believe that Jesus dies on the cross and that God raised Him from the dead, and then simply confess out of your mouth, out loud that Jesus is Lord – it’s that easy!

Just pray this simple prayer out loud:

Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I believe that Jesus died on the cross and that you rose Him from the dead. I am sorry for all my sins, please forgive me. Jesus I ask you to be the Lord of my life and I declare, Jesus you are the Lord of my life. Amen.”

If you prayed that prayer and meant it in your heart (even if your mind doesn’t fully understand) Jesus is not the Lord of your life and you can be assured that when you die you will go to heaven. Also, you can be assured that Jesus is with you (because He’s now in you) everyday of your life. You can call on Him to help you anytime night or day – He will see you through because He loves you!

If you already know the Lord then share Him with someone else. Print this message out and give it to someone, or put it out on your coffee table with other literature that friends and family may read.
