The armor of God
The Armor of God
By Wayne McDonald

Ephesians 6:11 Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all the strategies and deceits of the devil. I can only imagine what it must have been like for the apostle Paul when he was writing this letter to the Ephesians church from prison.

The great apostle studied with great detail the Roman soldier that was guarding him. Paul took notice that the soldier had on a belt, this belt held the armor together and held up his weapons. Vs 14 says Stand therefor [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God.

Paul also revered to this belt as the belt of truth. Truth is under such attack there is so much garbage that the meda propagates. It’s time to put on God’s armor and tighten our belt of truth. As you go about your day remember to guard your heart.

Don’t let just any old thing in; take a stand for what is right! We are in a war so stay in the word and stay dressed in the armor of God.
