Our Attitude Determines Our Altitude
Our Attitude Determines our Altitude
By Wayne McDonald

In my life when I look back at some of the things I have been through, there were plenty of times I found my self in situations I did not like. However, instead of consistently complaining about them, I decided to be grateful for what I had. Because I chose to be grateful and stopped complaining I have seen the faithfulness of God in my life.

I refuse to live my life with a “victim” mentality. All of us go through hard times, but our attitude when we are going through the battle will determine our altitude.

Stay focused on the promise of God if you are going through a time of battle. In Psalms it says, “I would have despaired unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord.” By focusing on the promises of God you will develop a good attitude and faith will begin to rise in your heart.

Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” Faith will grow in your heart as you read and mediate on the word of God.

Years ago when Laura and I first got married, we went through a season where we did not have any money, and I could not find a job. Things were tough to say the least, but we chose to believe the word and speak the word, and keep a good attitude.

We now look back at the  seasons of lack we experienced, and  realize they were nothing compared to the blessing God poured out upon us. We are amazed at all God has done in our lives. We declare that it is the Lords doing and it is marvelous in our sight.

God has blessed us in every area of our lives, exceedingly, abundantly above all we could ever ask or think. He will do the same for you because He is no respecter of persons.

So remember, whatever you are going through, it will pass. Even a level five tornado will eventually go back up into the sky.

Your attitude determines your altitude so don’t give up and don’t quit!
