Attitude of Gratitude
Attitude of Gratitude
By Wayne McDonald

God has great things waiting for you this new year. Purpose in your heart that this year is going to be better than the last one. Wake up every morning with an expectation of what God is going to do for you as you walk in obedience before Him.

Psalm 100:4-5, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.” It is impossible to live discouraged when you begin to look around at everything you have: your home, car, husband, wife, kids, family, job.

Don’t focus on what you don’t have, but be thankful for what you do have. If you will begin to develop an attitude of gratitude your situation will not seem as bad. Remember, in other countries there are people that need to walk for hours just to get some water so that they will not die of dehydration. That is foreign to most of us here in America. We have no idea what it’s like to truly suffer. We have so many programs here to help one another get back on our feet.

We have organizations that give out free food, clothing, and more. Next time you are tempted to start complaining about how bad it seems, take a look around at the rest of the world and thank the Lord that you are here in America.

Develop an attitude of gratitude!
