Spiritual Hunger

  Spiritual Hunger
Matthew 5:6
By Wayne McDonald

Do you know what brings Jesus on the scene? Spiritual hunger, a hunger that will not be satisfied and a thirst that will not be quenched. Ever since I met the Lord in 1992 I have loved him and have been passionately pursuing him. Remember when you first gave your life to the Lord and you were so on fire for him that you could not get enough?

Remember when your number one priority was seeking him and everything else came second.Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. Do you want the blessing? Then you must have the hunger. Our hearts are like a vacuum whatever we let in our heart sucks it up. I want the glory I want the fire I want to walk in greater realms of God.

When this is the number one cry of our heart and we peruse the Lord and his word not out of discipline but out of desire it is then that the fire and the glory is released. When we completely turn ourselves over to him spirit, soul, and body then we will experience the things like we read about in the book of Acts.

Acts 3:1-9 Now peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour and a certain man lame from his mothers womb was carried whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple.

Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked and alms and peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something from them.

Then Peter said, silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I to you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

And he leaping up stood, and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking, and praising God. Verifiable miracles are happening all over the world right now. The spiritual hungry will see it, those that keep pursuing God with a passion when it’s easy and when it’s not will experience it.

Stay Spiritually Hungry!
