Protection From Trouble

Protection From Trouble
Psalm 32:7
By Laura McDonald

The times we are living in are indeed troubled times. All you have to do is look on the news and you will see accidents, murders, weather disasters, and more. It would be easy to live in fear, but we don’t have to.

Psalm 32:7 says, “You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” God promises us in His word to protect us from trouble. We can believe that word, stand on that word and see His hand of protection.

Many years ago, when I was in my early twenties, a bunch of us got in a car to go out to eat. I was not going to wear my seatbelt for such a short trip, but when I saw the driver (who never wears one) put his on I decided to do the same. Within minutes we hit a puddle and lost control of the car. We swerved one direction and then another before slamming into a huge tree.

I was in the front seat. We hit so hard that my seatbelt broke. God protected us. If I had not put my seatbelt on like I had intended, I would have gone through the windshield. I am so glad that God promised to protect us from trouble. I am so glad that God protected me!

That same protection belongs to you and your family. God is no respecter of persons. What He does for one He will do for all. Make a decision not to speak worry or fear over your family. Instead, speak the protection of God. He will back up His word!
