The Hiding Place

The Hiding Place

By Laura McDonald

When I was a little girl I used to curl up on the couch with my mom. We would call the spaces between her body and the cushions “cubbyholes.” I would hide in those cubbyholes and feel safe and warm.

There are times in all of our lives when we just want to hide. We may not be able to physically hide, but there is a hiding place. Psalm 32:7, “You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Jesus is our hiding place. We can run under the safety of His wings and find refuge and comfort whenever we need it. When we come before the Lord we don’t have to act like we have it all together. He wants us to pour out our whole heart before Him. He is our comforter. He is our refuge. He is our hiding place.
