There Are More With Us!

There Are More With Us!
2 Kings 6:16
By Laura McDonald

In 2 Kings Chapter 6 Elisha the prophet and his servant were surrounded by the enemy. In verse 15 the servant was upset and asked Elisha, “What shall we do?” In verse 16 Elisha said, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them. (Verse 17) And Elisha prayed, and said, ‘Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.’ Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

God opened the eyes of Elisha’s servant so he could see that God’s army had surrounded the enemy’s army. What an awesome truth! The enemy wants us to see his army of sickness, fear, torment, destruction, etc…. camped out around us. But if we will open up our spiritual eyes we will see that God’s army has him surrounded. There are more for us than against us. We need to keep this perspective.

If the enemy has you feeling boxed in today, just remind him that you are not alone. Begin to quote Psalm 91. Verse 11 - 13 says, “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall trample upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

Walk in your authority today. Don’t let the enemy convince you that you are defeated. Don’t let him tell you that you are all alone. That is a lie. God is with you and His army is all around you to carry out His word. Declare the word out your mouth today and watch it come to pass!
