No Mask
No Mask
By Wayne McDonald

Matthew 23:27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, pretenders (hypocrites)! For you are like tombs that have been whitewashed, which look beautiful on the outside but inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything impure.

It is so easy to walk around with a mask on. We know the entire church lingo, praise the lord, glory to God, hallelujah!

Everything looks good on the outside to other people but inside things are not all right. There is a struggle with old habits and behavior patterns.

Get real with the Lord and tell him your struggles and pain. He will heal the pain and remove the hurt. Be real with people and take the mask off. God is looking for some real people and so are those around you.

Make a decision to live in a glass house. What you see is what you get. Don’t live two different lives it will be obvious to those that truly walk with the Lord if you are for real or not. My heart longs to live a life of no compromise.

I do still miss it at times but I am pressing for the mark of the high call in Christ Jesus. I know that He that started a good work in me will be faithful to finish it.

If you are sincere with your relationship with the Lord and it’s more than just some dead religion. He will help you to overcome any hypocrisy that may be in your life. In this scripture in Matthew 23:27 Jesus is talking to those that make a choice to live a double life.

When you live with a mask, the only one that suffers is you. Jesus saw through their phony lives and said you look beautiful on the outside but inside you are dead.

Today make a decision to take off every mask and live a life that glorifies the Lord even when no one is watching. At the same time depend on His grace to change you, because all of us are a work in progress.
