Just Say No
Just Say No
By Wayne McDonald

2Corinthians 10:5 “[Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed one)”.

When President Ronald Raygan was in office he launched a campaign on war against drugs. His catch phase was “just say no”! We need to adopt the same mentality. When thoughts that are not in line with God’s word are bombarding our mind, we need to just say no.

Our mind is like a computer it just stores what we allow in it. You rely can not erase what you put in it. But you can renew it with new information. Once you allow a wrong thought to take root in you it can become a strong hold.

It will try to replay itself over and over again. When it starts to replay itself just say no! When things are not going right in life just say no. Don’t live life with a mentality that says, whatever will be will be. Change it by telling it no. When your finances are out of order just say no.

When your marriage is out of whack just say no and do something to change it. Get some new information that will help you get out of that situation. Read a book or listen to a podcast on marriage.

Next time you’re feeling discouraged just say no. When sickness tries to invade your body just say no!

Bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ by just saying no! You might have to say no 50 times a day at first to the things that you have been venerable to. But eventually it gets easier and you become more free. Just say no!
