Find Your Garden
Find your Garden
By Wayne McDonald

Genesis 2:8 “And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden [delight]: and there He put the man whom He formed (framed, constituted)”. God planted a garden for Adam and He has a garden for you. God’s garden will produce for you beyond your wildest dreams. Do you know where your garden is? Here is how you can find your garden! What kind of talents and abilities do you possess?

What do you desire to do with your life? Maybe you are very good at building and you take joy in putting things together. Your garden can very well be working in construction. You have been chosen before the foundation of the world to carry out a specific task (Ephesians 1:11).

God put in you a compass to find your garden and fulfill your destiny. You have been given grace to carry it out. God wants you to prosper and be successful. You’re not a failure because you try something and it did not work. Try something else until you find your Garden. Don’t be afraid to step out in faith and try something new.

Some times when people loose their job it can turn out to be the biggest blessing. Because sometimes they get stuck in some job they hate and they just keep doing it because it brings in a paycheck. God has more for you than to work in a job that you are not able to express your gifts and talents. At the same time don’t quit it tomorrow.

When you find God’s garden for your life you are no longer laboring under a curse but the blessing. There are times when I count up the hours I am working and it will be 50 to 60 hours some weeks.

I look back over the week and think, where did the time go? it hardly felt like work because I enjoy it so much. God has a garden for you. Ask Him to show you where it is.

1. What are you  passionate about? 2. What are you talented in? 3. Is there a big need for what you have to offer in the market place?
