Sin Has No Dominion Over You
Sin Has No Dominion Over You
By Wayne McDonald

Romans 6:14 “For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now you are not under law [as slaves], but under grace [as subjects of God’s favor and mercy]”. Sin has no dominion over you! Those habits that have controlled you and held you back have no legal right to dominate your life any longer.

If you want to stay free you must focus on God’s grace. Grace set you free, and grace will keep you free. There will be times in your life when you mess up and sin. When that happens go to grace and wage war against that sin and move on. Set up some type of accountability if you are struggling with a specific sin.

Have some one you can trust help you stay accountable to God and them. Grace is a guardrail for all of us. When people get under pressure they run to something that will give them some type of temporary relief. For some it can be food, over eating for others alcohol or drugs.

They are vulnerable in that era. What era are you vulnerable? Identify that area so that you will not keep on running to it, but instead run to grace. When I look back over my life there were times when I got under pressure I  ran to other things.

But there came a time when I said, God I am not running to any other source for relief. I am going to learn how to get it from you. Remember God’s grace is greater than any sin you could ever commit.

He loves you too much to leave you stuck in your situation. Grace is reaching out to you today and saying take hold of me I am your life source. As you focus more and more on grace sin loses its grip. Sin has no dominion over you!
