True Love Waits Part Thee
True Love Waits Part Three

By Laura McDonald

Sex has a very important role in marriage. God designed it to seal the marriage covenant. God designed it for enjoyment within the marriage covenant. Every time a married couple has sex it re-establishes the covenant they made with each other and with God.

Every time a married couple has sex the power of the marriage covenant is released. It affects them physically, spiritually, and in their souls. Sex was only designed for marriage/ it is a covenant act.

Hebrews 13:4 “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.” The marriage bed (sex within marriage) is undefiled, it is not filthy, dishonorable, nor corrupt.

But fornication and adultery is. Fornicator: someone who consents to have sex with a person they are not married to. Adulterer: Someone who is married and has sex with someone other than his or her spouse. Sex/ sexual touching, etc… outside of the marriage covenant is sin.

I Corinthians 6:18-20 “ Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.” “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”

“For you were bought with a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” Within the marriage covenant sex is beautiful and powerful, outside of the marriage covenant it is destructive. True love waits.
