I know you have heard that before. Some of you have made a vow to the Lord to stay pure and that is an awesome thing. I want to talk about covenant. The Bible makes it very clear that God designed sex for marriage. Marriage in God’s eyes is a covenant….
How many of you have heard the term “Marriage Covenant?” In our side of the world the word covenant is not something we grow up hearing a lot about. It is not something that our culture focuses on, but it affects every one of us. Since sex was designed as part of the marriage covenant it is important that you understand what covenant is and what part sex plays in that covenant.
Once you grasp and understanding of this it will make you want to guard this area of your life even more. We are going to start by finding out what exactly is a covenant, what are some examples of covenant, and how a covenant pertains to marriage and sex. What is a covenant?
Definition: a formal binding agreement. A covenant is when two people come together and officially join themselves together for a specific purpose. They decide to make a covenant together. They decide the “rules” of the covenant They seal the covenant with the shedding of blood – This is called “cutting” the covenant.
Once the covenant is complete the two parties have become bound to one another and a powerful exchange takes place. Make an effort to day to keep yourself pure because true love waits
