The Five-Fold Ministry

The Five-Fold Ministry

By Laura McDonald

Ephesians 4:11-12 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers. Vs 12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of the ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church).

The five-fold ministry is to train and prepare all of us for the work of God in the earth, in so doing the body of Christ is edified, built up. When the body of Christ is properly trained and built up through the five-fold ministry, then although we are many, we will be like one man, perfect (without weakness). We will manifest the fullness of God’s presence (the fullness of healing, prosperity, anointings, giftings, and worship.

As we manifest God’s glory in the earth, we will pierce through the darkness and set the captives free! The five-fold ministry will help us to not act like children. Children are gullible they will believe almost anything you tell them. We should not be like that. We need to learn to test what we hear with the word of God and only believe what comes in line with the Word of God.
