Everlasting Weight of Glory
Everlasting Weight of Glory

By Wayne McDonald

2Corinthians 4:17 For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!].

Are you under pressure today? Well take the advice of the Apostle Paul. This man went through such tribulation, but could see beyond the test. Paul said, pressure works for us. Pressure is like electricity it can work for you, or kill you depending on if you know its purpose. He starts out in this verse by saying our light affliction is only for a moment.

He had the right perspective. Have you ever noticed when you are going through a trial how everything is amplified. Your car brakes and it seams as if your world is being shaken. Then you get a call from the principle and they tell you your kid is a mess. It seems like your world is falling apart. It’s not!  It just feels like it.

What you are going through will pass, the sun will shine again. God will bring you out with a high hand of victory. Just trust Him! One time I was going through a trial with some one and I said Lord this person always makes waves. He said, well get out your Holy Ghost serf board and ride the wave. The waves will either crush you or you will ride it and reach new highs.
