Let’s Go Fishing

Mark 1:16-17 And passing along the shore of the sea of Galilee, He saw Simon [Peter] and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, come after Me and be my disciples, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

That is just like the Lord to call these men and have them use their skills for His kingdom. God takes what we have to offer and he anoints it to touch people. What is the bait that the Lord has given to you? In our ministry we use a two-question survey on the streets as a net to catch souls. We have seen thousands of people come to Christ as a result.

In our music business I teach our students praise and worship songs even if they are not serving the Lord. I plant the word of God into their hearts by using these songs as a net. I have seen some of them come to Christ as a result. Use what you have to touch lives. Be creative. Let’s go fishing!
