Intamcy With God
Intimacy With God

By Wayne McDonald

Psalm 116:1, “I love the Lord, because He has heard [and now hears] my voice and my supplications.” There is no doubt about it; King David loved the Lord. David had a good open relationship with God. David had intimacy. Intimacy-means “Into-me-see;” which means, "Look inside of my heart Father, and tell me what you see." David like all of us made mistakes, but his heart was tender toward God.

When was the last time you closed yourself in with your Heavenly Father? Just you and God one on one. Life can become so busy with work, kids, and the upkeep of everything else. I know you can relate!

But our number one priority must be spending time with the Lord first, before anything else. Now if you get off course one day don’t spend the rest of the week feeling guilty. God is very forgiving. Just repent and try again.

Since 1992 I have been developing intimacy with my Father and getting to know Him. He is so merciful and loving. There have been so many times that I have found my heart drifting away from Him but He is so quick to draw me back.

He is my everything and without the relationship that I have with Him life is empty. Make time to sit at the feet of Jesus today and worship Him, read His words of life, worship Him, and listen to Him commune with him from your heart. This is the number one key to living an abundant life.
